It’s a long weekend!! And the official mark of summer!! Here’s a quick recap of what went down this weekend:
Friday
Someone in the office got 4 tickets to Yankees game (against LAA). This marks the second baseball game I see live in the States (first was St. Louis Cardinal versus… I forgot whom. In any case, at the Cardinal game, we got the boxed seat with unlimited food and drink supply. Unfortunately, Cardinals played a poor game, and they lost pretty badly. The food was good though, and that’s what mattered!!
This time around, we didn’t have the boxed seat. That’s when I realized how expensive stadium food actually is (it cost me $17 bucks for a hot dog and burger… NO SODA!!). The food quality at Yankees Stadium was also nowhere near the one I had in St. Louis. Then again, it may just be the food was free in St. Louis that made it so much better~ Food aside, our seat was amazing. It was 4 rows behind the Yankees’ rest area (between home and 1st base). The view was sepctacular, however somehow the stadium felt smaller than regular stadiums. I also saw who I think is Billy Crystal.
In any case, must be my luck or something, Yankees lost again a pretty miserable loss. Before the 8th inning, Yankees was behind with a 3 to 10 score… their was little to no defense on Yankees’ part. And the decision to switch pitcher at the 4th inning turned out to be a huge mistake (after the switch, they lost close to 4 points in one inning). The sad part is, by the 7th inning, the stadium was half empty… must’ve been a huge blow to Yankees’ morale.
I begin to think I should never go see any live sports event again. I have yet to see any team win at a live event that I’m present at. *sigh*
Saturday
Comcast came to setup my phone. Finally I have a more stable “landline sesrvice” now… Vonage was good for the first few months, but it has been a nightmare since last year - constant dropped call and inconsistant call quality, I pretty much unplugged my landline since last December… it was simply unbearable. Hopefully Comcast’s digital phone service will resolve the problem. The package also saves me 50 bucks - my original Comcast TV/Internet package was $150, and Vonage was $20. Now with Comcast TV/Internet/Phone service all together, it only costs me $120/mo. And I’m locking in the rate for 2 years, so hopefully this is a goo ddeal.
Then I slept for most of the day, cuz I didn’t get to sleep until like… 4 am in the morning. Then Val and Angie came visit in the evening - for a Wiikend Party~~
Sunday
Another day of Wii Party. We tried pretty much every game I have in collection, and got a new game (Marble Maniac), which was suprisingly addictive. Then through my reliable sources, I managed to help them snatch up a Wii console today - adding one more member to my Wii friend list (at this point, I began to think I should probably consider working for Nintendo… I’m promoting their product so frigging restlessly and I don’t even get paid).
If you want a Wii, check Target/Best Buy/Circuit City. Most of them should have it until the end of the week… they received quite a large shipment today.
Anyway… arms sore from Wii sports… not gonna type much now… maybe later… legs soring too… got…to…rest……

I gotta try Wii one of these days! I could use the exercise. Are there any fun tennis games?
