American Idol this year was a bit different. It showcased better talents during the first round than we’ve seen in previous years, and less “comedic” moments that we have come to love (who can ever forget those She Bangs Like a Virgin moments…. I probably should rearrange the orders of the song titles). Perhaps the American Idol no longer provides us the entertainment we seek for, but fret not! There are idol else where stepping up to bring smile to our face, and sore to our ears. Video clip after the jump.

That Mariah Carey cameo is icing on the cake! Oh, and what’s it with all these Idol shows and their Paula and Randy look-alikes???
